We will be Queensland’s only licensed, private, midwifery-led birthing centre offering Level 2 hospital maternity care. Fully accredited under QLD health regulations, located in Southport, now accepting bookings from 2026.

Our space is designed to keep you calm, supported, and informed of your choices, nurturing the natural process of birth. From your first appointment to the weeks after birth, we walk beside you, ensuring you feel confident, empowered, and cared for every step of the way.

Your Care at Matrescence Birthing Centres

At Matrescence Birthing Centres Gold Coast, your journey is supported by a collaborative care team centred around your own private midwife. From your first appointment through to six weeks postpartum and beyond, we will be providing personalised care in a licensed, luxurious facility designed for spontaneous natural birth.
You’ll be cared for by your endorsed midwife and our centres endorsed midwives, with the support of experienced professionals including:
  • Lactation consultants (IBCLCs)
  • Pelvic floor physiotherapists
  • Acupuncturists and Chinese medicine practitioners
  • Osteopaths and craniosacral therapists
  • Nutritionists and naturopaths

Beyond Birth

At Matrescence Birthing Centres Gold Coast, care goes beyond the clinical that doesn’t end when your baby arrives. We offer a growing program of workshops, education, and support to help you prepare emotionally and physically before and after birth.
Our offerings include:

A range of prenatal classes including a range of childbirth classes, nutrition during pregnancy, pelvic floor health, the role of osteopathy, cranial-sacral support and more.

Licensing & Accreditation

Matrescence Birthing Centres Gold Coast will be a licensed private health facility operating under the Private Health Facilities Act 1999 (Qld). The centre is approved for Level 2 Maternity and Neonatal Services under the Queensland Health Clinical Services Capability Framework (CSCF v3.2). We are accredited to the NSQHS Standards, with emergency transfer protocols in place via the Queensland Ambulance Service and Gold Coast University Hospital. [licence currently pending approval]
